Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is Birthday Bash. We really hope that you enjoy and will be inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, we would appreciate your comments because we enjoy hearing from you. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Adhere a 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock [CS] to a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ (A2) Thick White [CS] Card Base; then adhere a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Heart & Home Designer Series Paper on top of the Fresh Freesia CS – I used the Fresh Freesia floral print from the pack
- Using Memento Black ink, stamp the large floral image from the Blessings of Home Stamp Set onto a piece of Basic White CS; using Stampin’ Blends (So Saffron, Fresh Freesia & Soft Succulent) color in the image
- Crop out the large floral image using the coordinating Die from the Flowers of Home Dies
- Stamp the Birthday Greeting on a 3/8″ x 4″ strip of Basic White CS using Memento Black ink; then snip the ends off at an angle so the strip ends up being apx. 3-1/8″ long
- Stamp any Inside Sentiment desired to the inside of the Card Base using Memento Black ink
- Distress (or tear) the edges of a piece of Vellum CS so that you end up with a piece apx. 2″ x 3″
- Cut a length of Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon apx. 20″ long; loop the ribbon back and forth and use a stapler to attach it to the center of the Vellum CS – use Mini Glue Dots to hold in place as needed
- Adhere the Vellum/Ribbon piece to the Card Front with Stampin’ Seal – keep the adhesive under the area that the Floral Image piece will cover
- Adhere the Greeting strip to the Floral Image piece – the “birthday” part of the greeting should overhang on the right side; add a couple of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals under that area
- Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the Floral Image piece – especially to the top and bottom areas – and adhere over the Vellum/Ribbon piece
- Decorate your envelope flap if desired – I used a yellow print from the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper pack, cut to 2-1/4″ x 6″; glue to envelope flap and trim off overhang with your Paper Snips

Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on March 9th. Our theme will be Cute Critters where our Design Team creates a project with any kind of animals, birds, butterflies or insects.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.
