My Favorite & Most Used Tool in my Craft Room

Just like putting a placemat on the table before I eat, I always lay down a sheet of Stampin’ Up! Large Grid Paper before I start a project. In fact, my pad of Grid Paper never really leaves my desktop. It protects my workspace and helps me place my ‘layers’ so they’re lined up straight. In my opinion, Grid Paper is an “essential” tool when designing and creating any project!

Grid Paper, Small Grid Paper, Grid Paper Tips and Tricks

Small Grid Paper with Stamparatus

If a project that inspires you includes only METRIC measurements, Grid Paper to the rescue! Flip over your sheet of grid paper and bingo… a gigantic Metric grid! Using this side of the paper, you’re able to follow the metric cutting dimensions and cut out all the pieces. Make any ‘adjustments’ to fit your project, then use these bits as a Template to create something fantastic!

And when I’m stamping in my craft room, I don’t just use a SHEET of Grid Paper… I often use the entire pad underneath my work – it gives just the right amount of padding underneath to get a really good stamp each time, plus it’s right there for me to do a “practice” stamp or to “stamp off” before stamping on my project.

Stampin’ Up! also makes a Small Grid Paper to fit into the Stamparatus (see photo above) making it easy to line everything up perfectly while protecting your Stamparatus from any potential messes. Like a little bit of a designer touch to your workspace? Try one of Stampin’ Up!’s new In-Color Grid Paper or their signature Floral Design!

If you’re not already using Grid Paper when you’re stamping, you definitely need to give it a try soon!
